First Aid, CPR, AED for the Workplace

Combine the following course content to create the optimal training program for your organization. Training meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a workplace environment and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.

First Aid
Participants learn first aid skills for treating a variety of injuries, such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. Participants also learn to manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning.

CPR-Adult
Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults.

CPR-Child and Infant
Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children under the age of 12.

AED
Participants learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adult victims of cardiac arrest or child victims of cardiac arrest between the ages of 1 and 8.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Preventing Disease Transmission

This two-hour training module is designed for workers at risk for on-the-job exposure to blood or other body fluids that could cause infection. The First Aid/CPR/AED for the Workplace, Schools and the Community Instructor’s Manual and DVDs now also include the instructor resources for this training. Participant booklets for this module should be purchased separately.

In fact, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires companies to have readily available first aid kits that have the adequate supplies for injuries that are likely to occur in a particular workplace.

American Red Cross workplace first aid kits will help you meet OSHA regulations, and our emergency preparedness kits will help you ensure that you have the supplies you need in the event of an emergency, such as a flashlight, work gloves, plastic sheeting, food, water and more. The Red Cross also has a variety of first aid kits available for your home, car or desk.
